The Venture at Starbase 375

In 2364, the USS Venture’s keel was laid down at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, Mars. Following 3 years of construction, and having completed her shakedown cruise with no reported issues, she was commissioned in 2367, tasked with deep space exploration beyond the Northern Borders of the United Federation of Planets, in the Beta Quadrant.

In 2372, the Venture led a task force under the command of Admiral Hastur to reinforce Deep Space 9 when it was threatened by a Klingon attack. Sisko offered to talk to the captain of the Venture to secure Worf a position aboard, although Worf preferred to stay on Deep Space 9. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")

The Venture visited DS9 again in 2373. (DS9: "Doctor Bashir, I Presume")

The Venture provides cover to the USS Defiant

In 2374, the Venture participated in Operation Return, protecting the flank of the USS Defiant. The Venture was one of the first ships to arrive at Deep Space 9 after the Dominion retreat. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels")

The Venture saw action again later that year when it fought as part of the Federation Venture fleet that invaded the Chin'toka system. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets")

In 2376, following a year-long refit the USS Venture will once again begin exploring the galaxy, while operating between Deep Space Nine, in the Alpha Quadrant and Outpost Rekantha, in the Gamma Quadrant.
